PNRD Assam Recruitment 2026 - 1508 Gram Rozgar Sahayak, Computer Assistant and Various Posts

Panchayat & Rural Development Department Assam (PNRD Assam) is inviting online applications for 1508 contractual posts under key rural development programmes such as MGNREGA, PMAY-G, and Finance Commission Grants. These positions are purely on a contract basis and will remain valid up to the tenure of the respective programme. Interested candidates can apply online on or before 22-03-2026.

The roles primarily involve field-level implementation, coordination, and technical/administrative support related to rural development schemes, including data management and monitoring activities.

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of Written Examination and Viva Voce.

Written Exam

Candidates will be required to appear in a written examination which will be conducted at various centres across Assam. There will be two written examinations - Paper 1 for the posts of Gaon Panchayat Coordinator, Computer Assistant, and Gram Rozgar Sahayak, and Paper-2 for the post of Accredited Engineer. A candidate may apply separately for Paper-1 and Paper-2, if eligible for. Candidates will be required to submit their preference for posts under Paper-1.

Viva Voce

There will be a Viva Voce of 25 marks for candidates who qualify in the written examination.

Final Merit List

Based on performance in written examination and Interview, a category-wise merit list will be prepared for each post. A waiting list will also be prepared based on merit, which will remain valid for one year. In case of a tie in marks, the candidate older in age will be placed higher, and if still equal, higher educational qualification will be considered.

Fee Structure :

No Application fee is to be paid for this recruitment drive.

How to Apply :

1. Docs to be Kept ready -
   1. Recent passport size photograph (JPEG format):
      • Taken after 01-01-2026
      • White background with clear and front-facing image
      • Face should cover about 50% of the photo
      • No shadows, no hair covering facial features, no glare on glasses
      • Resolution between 320×240 and 640×480 pixels
      • File size should not exceed 100 KB
   2. Signature (JPEG format):
      • Done with black or dark blue ink on white paper
      • Scanned clearly (not blurred)
      • Resolution between 400×150 and 800×300 pixels
      • Approx size: 3.5 cm × 2.5 cm
      • File size should not exceed 100 KB
   3. Required documents (each under 300 KB) :
      • Age proof (Birth Certificate / HSLC Certificate or Admit Card)
      • ID proof (PAN / Voter ID / Aadhaar / Driving License, etc.)
      • Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets
      • Computer proficiency certificate (if required for the post)
      • Caste certificate (if applicable)
      • Disability certificate (if applicable)
2. Fill the online application form with correct personal, academic, and other required details. Provide a valid mobile number and email ID, as all updates will be shared through them.
3. Review all entered details carefully before final submission.
4. After final submission, Download and keep the application/registration slip safely for future use. No need to send any printed copy to Commissionerate of Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Assam at this stage.
5. Admit Card / Call Letter can be downloaded later using the Application ID, and updates will be sent via SMS/email.
